MEET THE TEAM ...
CMA Accountancy was launched in Wigan in June 2007 by Chris Alcock. The practice was set up to deliver a proactive, personal and modern accountancy service to start-up’s and growing businesses in the North West looking for professional, down to earth advice and real value from their relationship with their accountant.
As a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), we are registered with CIMA as a Member in Practice. We are regulated by CIMA to undertake Continued Professional development to ensure our ongoing professional competence in delivering services to clients.
CHRIS ALCOCK
What is my role within CMA? I am the director of CMA having founded the company in 2007.
I carry out a variety of roles at CMA, all focused at delivering a proactive, first rate service to all of our clients. I am also responsible to marketing CMA ensuring that we convey the right message across to existing and prospective clients.
What makes CMA different? At CMA we ensure that we have the right blend of professional, friendly, proactive and helpful services to ensure that our clients achieve their full potential.
When I was younger I wanted to be… James Bond!
The superpower I would like to have is… To be able to time travel and go back to the wild west!
If I had a month to do anything what would it be? Travel around the best skiing resorts in Europe and enjoy lots of hard skiing and long lunches.
JOE SINGLETON
What is my role within CMA? I joined CMA as an AAT apprentice in September 2012. My role includes various administrative duties along with book keeping and studying towards full AAT qualification… As well as making the odd brew of course!
What makes CMA different? We are a diverse, growing accountancy practice with a genuine, down to earth group of employees that have made me feel very welcome.
When I was younger I wanted to be… A professional Rugby League player.
The superpower I would like to have is… To be able to read minds…
If I had a month to do anything what would it be? Sleep. For the whole month!
ROANNA DARBY
What is my role within CMA? I joined CMA in August 2014 as an AAT apprentice. My roles include various administrative duties along with bookkeeping, VAT and payroll. I also update the company’s social media pages and website.
What makes CMA different? We are a friendly, helpful and pro-activefirm. Who always ensure that our clients are happy.
When I was younger I wanted to be… A princess.
The superpower I would like to have is… Flying, no more traffic jams!
If I had a month to do anything what would it be? Travel across the 50 states of America.
VAL MORAN
What is my role within CMA? I am an accounts administrator.
What makes CMA different? Homely, good environment to work in, personal contact with clients.
When I was younger I wanted to be… A commissioned florist to the stars or to work with accounts in an office environment.
The superpower I would like to have is… Predict the weather.
If I had a month to do anything what would it be? Travel the world and visit New Zealand, Australia and South America to experience their different cultures.
